Allergies are annoying me to no end today. And my poor husband actually came home early from work yesterday because his allergies were making him feel incredibly miserable. (He must feel crappy in order to come home from work ~ usually he has to be at death’s door for that to happen!) Lots of other friends are complaining about allergy issues, too. Today’s weather is rainy and chilly (well, only 50 degrees ~ not bad, but sure odd for the end of May!). I’m walking around the house turning on all of our Sylvania lightbulbs in order to get some simulated daylight in here, LOL! :) Feels like a good night for chili or some kind of hearty stew for dinner, but I think that I’ll go with burgers because hamburger was on sale at the grocery store today. What are you having for dinner tonight?
I haven’t been taking very many photos lately, and that’s extremely odd for me. The biggest reason is probably because I haven’t been feeling very well this past week. Plus, our weather has been quite rainy. And sometimes I just kind of lose my photography motivation or something. But … now that our weather has turned beautiful and I’m beginning to feel better (thank goodness!), I can’t wait to get out there and start shooting again. Memorial Day weekend always puts me into a good mood, too, because I love summer. Hmm … maybe I should purchase some new memory cards in order to hold all of these photos that I’m going to take! :) All of you photographers out there … do you ever lose your “mojo”? And how do you get it back? What things are you looking forward to photographing this summer?
Swimsuit season is quickly approaching. Ick. :( And while I don’t need to check out websites such as nuphedra review, I definitely need to make some changes in order to improve my weight. I’m very proud of myself … I’ve decided to exercise five days a week, per the advice of my doctor. She said that for a woman my age, I should be getting in 30 minutes each day of cardio. Last night, I jumped onto our elliptical machine and did 20 minutes. But I’ll make up that 10 minutes by doing our town’s 5K walk tonight! I’m looking forward to that. I just hope that my new sneakers will arrive today ~ that would be awesome!
I’m only 33 years old. That’s definitely not the age when we’ll start checking into Medicare supplements, LOL! :) But seriously, I felt like an old lady after finishing our town’s 5K walk on Friday night. It’s a great community activity where everyone meets at our town hall, then does the 5K “loop” ~ walking, running, biking, pushing kids in the stroller, whatever you like. It’s a great way to meet new neighbors, get some fresh air, and get MOVING! I think that the rest of the world must walk a *lot* faster than I do, though, because I had trouble keeping up with the girls ahead of me. I felt like I was sprinting! But, I did finish … I was determined … it’s just that I prefer to walk at a slower pace. But my heart rate definitely got up, and sometime I’d like to wear a pedometer to see how many steps the 5K walk is. I’m proud of myself for getting out there. And I plan to do it every Friday night if my bones allow it! hehe :)
Dude! It’s’ chilly outside! Our temperature says 54 degrees at the moment … and a high of only 63 today. The low … 39 degrees! Holy cow ~ I’m totally in the mood to snuggle on the couch underneath a blanket with a cup of hot chai tea and my latest knitting project! That’s *so* odd for May, right? Oh, today would also be awesome for snuggling and watching a fun movie, too. This weekend, we watched “Slumdog Millionaire” and “Fireproof.” (Jeff had to fix our tv stands ~ but now everything is fine, thank goodness.) I can’t believe that I’m in “blanket mode” during the month of May! We’ve had such high winds here recently, too. If we open our front door, it creates a vacuum that blows through the entire house and knocks everything down! LOL! :) Anyway, a very happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
