Both of our computers are in our bonus room, and we are *desperately* in need of new office furniture. Computer desks, specifically. I’d love something uniform that’s connected, kind of like an “L” shape, so that Jeff and I kind of have one desk with two sections for our computers. (Does that make sense?) The local Hallmark shop down in Hudson has a new line of office furniture, actually, so we may check that out. Right now, we’re using desks that are totally banged up! Having new desks would make our bonus room look a *lot* nicer.

I am *so* excited … in a week or so, I’ll be revealing a new design for my Etsy shop! Thanks to a friend who created the logo for me … I’m not going to reveal any details yet, but she did a fantastic job. I’m really going to try to revamp my Etsy shop. I wanted a uniform design to put on the banner, packaging, etc. Gosh, maybe I should check into promo keychains, too! :) I’m super psyched because this new logo can be put onto stickers, bags, business cards ~ you name it. I have to ship out an Etsy order today, in fact. I’m so glad that the shop is going well!

I cannot WAIT to get started on Lucas’s fifth birthday party invitations. He wants a “Star Wars” birthday party, and that has endless options! We’re going to do lots of Star Wars-themed foods, like Darth Maul Dip. :) Thing is … we’re not sure where we’re going to hold his party. The indoor playground where we thought about having his party is closing on February 14th! :( He was super sad to hear that. Maybe we can take the kids there just one last time to let them play before it closes. We could always do the party here at home, but this will be his very first all-school classmates party ~ and if all the kids come, holy cow. That would be a *lot* of preschoolers in our home at the same time! We could do an open house like we did one year, where you can come between noon and four when it’s convenient. We’ll see. It’ll be fun planning!

I swear ~ I think that I need some type of mechanical breakdown insurance today. Nearly EVERYTHING I’ve picked up, I’ve dropped! Don’t you hate days like those? I guess that maybe I just need to slow down. Every time something like this happens, I take it as a signal that I’m trying to do too much. After I drop Lucas off at preschool today, I’m going to stop by a friend’s house to pick up two pieces of apple cake that we forgot last night ~ and then I’m going to make a banana cake for us to enjoy this weekend. We have several bananas that we need to use up, and I’m tired of banana bread.

I hate winter, but I’m trying to find ways to enjoy this season so that I can make the best out of it. I’m thinking about checking into a ski vacation for us, even though I’ve never gone skiing before in my entire life! It could be fun, though ~ hanging out in the ski lodge, sipping hot cocoa, knitting, wearing my own knitted scarf … oh, wait, I would have to ski, too, right? :) The kids would have lots of fun skiing. It would be a neat thing for all of us to learn. I saw a sign for snowtubing the other day, and that sounds like fun, too!

Researching auto insurance quotes is kind of a boring, mundane thing to do ~ but hey, if it saves money, right? I’m so excited because my car, a 2005 Toyota Matrix, is almost paid off! This month is our last payment. Hooray! :) Of course, knock on wood, I hope that nothing goes wrong with it now that it’s almost paid for. (Murphy’s Law, right?) It has been such a good car. We’ve taken it to Indiana many times, and we brought both of our children home in that car! It has lots of room, and I love the sunroof!

I know absolutely *nothing* about Rocky Patel cigars, but it might be something to check out as a potential Christmas present for my father-in-law. He smokes cigars ~ well, at least, he used to. I think that cigars smell disgusting, personally, but you know … when he smokes his pipe, I actually like the scent of that. He has a flavored one that smells like vanilla, and I actually enjoy smelling the smoke from that one. We don’t want to encourage him to smoke, though, of course, so we shy away from cigars as a present! But we should tell him about these, just for fun.

We need to check out cheap auto insurance. Now that my car is almost paid off (the last payment is this month ~ hooray!), it would be great to save even more money on the insurance. I think that right now, we use Progressive. Who do you use for your car insurance? It’s a boring thing to research, but hey ~ if it saves some money, right? And we’re all about saving money these days, for sure, with the way our economy has sucked big time! *sigh*

Anyone know of any northeast philly jobs? My friend Shannon might be looking for new employment in the near future. We’ve been to Philadelphia several times. Once was for the engagement party for our friends Ben and Christina. I also went there during a family vacation when I was growing up. It’s not very far from us ~ maybe four hours? That might be a nice little weekend getaway for us sometime, actually. I also want to take the kids to Easton, PA, to the Crayola Factory. I think they’d love it! Maybe this summer!

Lucas tells us sometimes that he’d like to ride a motorcycle someday. I mean, what little boy isn’t interested in motorcycles? I just hope that we’ll never have to contact a pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney because he has gotten into some kind of awful wreck. :( I have to admit, I’d probably enjoy riding on a motorcycle once or twice ~ but other than that, I would never want to own one. I’ve never ridden one. Have you? Are they fun?
