Welcome, 2009!
Lucas threw up several times last night (he has/had the same thing Meredith did), and Jeff has such a bad cold that he drifted in and out of sleep in our living room recliner all evening. I fixed baked ziti and a bunch of snacks for dinner, but not much was consumed because of everyone feeling yucky. :( After the kids went to sleep, I relaxed on the couch, knitted, and watched the movie Gone Baby Gone with Jeff. I didn’t sleep well last night because I had a bad stomachache (plus, Meredith stole my pillow and blanket!), and I woke up with my cold feeling a bit worse than it did yesterday. But still … I’m very excited that 2009 is here! Happy New Year, everyone! (Counting down to 2009 would have been fun with one of these super cool Technomarine watches! I like the blue ones!)
I’m off to do some cleaning (our kitchen and bonus room are a mess), and we also have a ton of laundry to catch up on. I’d intended to visit the mall today for some after-Christmas sales, but with feeling a bit crappy I’ve elected to stay here at home instead. I enjoyed some Pineapple Waikiki black tea this morning, courtesy of Tricia (mmm!). It’s only three degrees outside at the moment! May this new year bring us all good health, good fortune, joy, love, and lots of blessings!

I’m sorry you guys have the icky virus that is going around. We all had it here over 3 weeks! Once you have had it though, you are immune, so that’s a good thing. It’s usually followed by a head cold though, at least here it was. I hope you guys get over it quickly! *HUGS*
