… to start thinking about Christmas? :) Really, it’s only four months away. One “discussion” that Jeff and I have every year is about multi color led christmas lights. He prefers colored, flashing lights, whereas I typically prefer all-white lights. I just think that there’s something so classy, sophisticated, and elegant about all-white lights. Maybe someday we can do what my MIL does and decorate a bunch of different Christmas trees! :) It would be such a pain to take all of that down after the holidays, though! What about you? What kind of Christmas tree lights do you prefer?

Sometimes I think about what it would be like to go back to school and get another degree (perhaps a Master’s degree). I think that Online Schools would be an excellent opportunity for me, considering that I’m a SAHM with two young children! Thing is, I’m not sure what I would study. It would be *lots* of work juggling classes along with everything else I have going on! I wouldn’t mind going back to “school” for graphic design (updating the skills that I already have). There’s lots of new software out there. I’d also like to take a class in Adobe Photoshop. Maybe just a creative writing class, even. It might be something to explore when both of our children are in school.

Well, I finished my two freelance stories for the newspaper. Yay! :) What a relief to have them done. I didn’t write about noxycut reviews or anything ~ instead, one was about an open MRI office and the other was about our town’s historic celebration next month. I think that both of them turned out very well. I’m looking forward to getting my paycheck! :) It’s *so* nice having that extra cash that’s all mine to do whatever I want with. I know that sounds selfish, but … I’m a SAHM and don’t bring in the income that I used to, so it’s nice to have a little “treat,” you know?

I have a question … what are the best face creams out there? Currently, in the shower, I scrub my face gently with Wal-Mart’s version of the St. Ives apricot scrub (love that stuff). But I need some kind of facial moisturizer … nothing that is oily (because my skin is kind of combination). I want something light but really good and healthy for my skin. If you know of anything, please let me know. Oh, and something that’s not heavily fragranced … I don’t necessarily like strong scents on my face. Thanks! :)

How’s your day going so far today? I need to work on editing a lady’s resume and type up a short article for the newspaper about our town’s upcoming historic celebration day (August 14th), but I’m kind of procrastinating. :( Maybe I’ll goof off and look up  term life insurance quotes or something, hehe :) I did put in a load of laundry, though, so that’s something! We were running out of towels. I can’t get over how gorgeous today’s weather is … it’s rainy, but it’s also cool! 70 degrees right now, with a breeze! I’m lovin’ it!!!

We’re out of vitamins. :( What a bummer. Last time, I bought the kids some superhero gummi vitamins … lots of sugar, I know. But they love them. (And so do I!) I especially love the sour gummi “vites.” Yeah, I realize that I should be taking an adult vitamin. I know that they do make chewable adult vitamins, though! I need to check into those. Believe it or not, I still have a bottle of prenatal vitamins left over from when I was pregnant with Meredith back in 2006! hehe :) I bet those have expired ~ need to pitch them!

Are there any new acne treatments on the market these days? I’ve heard stories from a few friends who are dealing with acne problems. I break out a little bit, too, especially during the summer. It’s annoying. :( In the mornings, I usually cleanse my face with Wal-Mart’s brand of the St. Ives apricot scrub ~ love that stuff! It smells so good and makes my face feel so invigorated and clean! It scrubs just enough so that it’s not too scratchy. What do you use on your face in the mornings?

Instead of using diet pills, I’m trying to eat more healthily. I *love* salads for lunch during the summer, although I tend to pile on the unhealthy stuff ~ ranch dressing, bacon bits, cheese … LOL! :) I almost want to say, “I’d like a salad, please … hold the lettuce!” :) But for breakfast, I love yogurt and scrambled eggs. Those are good for you. I do have coffee, and my body usually craves carbs when I first wake up. I have to remind myself to get in some protein! String cheese is always a good snack. What do you like to eat for breakfast?

I’m still going strong with my freelance work (writing, editing). I’m not doing anything complex like apidexin reviews, but the articles I’ve been writing are interesting. I just finished writing a feature story about a local doctor who works for an open MRI place. (Have you ever had an MRI?) I’m also helping a few students from the University of Georgia with editing their dissertation prospectuses and resumes. I’m so happy to have freelance work! And hopefully when the kids are in school during the day, I can really get my freelancing up a notch. I’ll have more quiet, uninterrupted time then.

Last time I went grocery shopping, I bought two different kinds of ice cream. (Bad, I know!) But it’s summer. And our kids love ice cream. And it’s not like we have it all that often. I *loooooove* Dairy Queen, too! The kids especially enjoy their dip bars ~ Dilly Bars, I think they’re called. I remember when I was growing up and our DQ had “Breezes” ~ they were made with fat-free frozen soft yogurt instead of regular ice cream. I didn’t feel as badly about eating those. But they don’t have the Breeze anymore. :( What’s your favorite DQ concoction?
